The debate over tort reform sometimes loses sight of the human suffering side of the issue.  The following real-life stories illustrate the seriousness of this issue.  Imagine how the people would have been adversely affected had Issue 1 and the subsequent legislation it will spawn been in effect when their cases were decided.

Good tort reform should be measured not by how it benefits the economy, jobs, lawyers, doctors, hospitals, trucking companies, and other interest groups, but by how fairly it establishes justice for people who seek it.
